SULPH(ON)ATION

NEUTRALIZATION (SO-4)

(click on any unit button or on any item for further details)

The sulphates from the reaction of ethoxilated alcohols or of fatty alcohols with SO3 have to be neutralised quickly.

The neutralisation takes place continuously in a closed loop where active matter and the neutralising agent (caustic soda, trietanol amina, or others) are fed by a special metering pump and are recycled through a homogenising mill.

A heat exchanger removes the neutralisation heat and a pH-controller ensures the correct pH of the final product through andjustment on the caustic soda metering pump.
