AGGLOMERATION with POST ADDITION

The Agglomeration with Post Addition Plant is recommended when a high bulk density detergent with high active matter content has to be produced from a base powder of low bulk density.

Spray Drying combined with Agglomeration with Post Addition can produce powder detergents up to 600-800 g/l of bulk density. A base powder containing almost all the anionic surfactants is produced in the Spray Drying plant. The agglomeration through the addition of liquids and solids increases the product flow charateristics and the bulk density.

Sodium carbonate, zeolite or STPP, and non ionics are mixed with the base powder into a special agglomerator.
The heat sensitive components and the minors (sodium carbonate, enzymes, perfume, Tetra-Acetyl Ethylene Diamine, antifoam, blue-specks etc.) are incorporated in the detergent after agglomeration in a final mixer.

By the Agglomeration with Post Addition Plant the overall capacity of a Spray Drying plant is significantly increased up to almost twice the nominal capacity.

The Agglomeration with Post Addition Plant includes:
