The heart of
the spray drying plant is the high pressure pump that feeds the
slurry to the spray nozzles located on the top of the tower.
At the same
time hot air, generated in a fournace, is blown into the tower.
The hot air evaporates the excess of water contained in the droplets
of slurry and so, producing the solid detergent powder.
The powder falls
down to the bottom of the tower from which it is discherged by
a conveyor belt and sent to a cooling pneumatic air lift system.
Before packing,
the detergent powder is sieved, in order to eliminate any possible
lumps then, if required, it is perfumed or sent to storage or
to a Post Addition plant.
