The solid feedstocks,
usually stored in silos or bags, are transferred to the solid
day vessels by conveyors and bucket elevators or by pneumatic
transport.
They are weighed
and premixed before being processed.
Premixing is very important to ensure an even distribution of
the neutralising agent, as a poor distribution generates variable
alkalinity in the final product.
The mixed powders
are then transferred to the feeding system of the granulator.
