A Post Addition
plant is recommended for formulations of powder detergent containing
a high quantity of heat sensitive or volatile components which
cannot be added in the Spray Drying or in the Granulation process.
This plant is
therefore positioned downstream a Spray Drying or a Granulation
plant and comprises automatic dosing groups to proportion the
base powder together with the heat sensitive or volatile components
(sodium carbonate, enzymes, non-ionic, perfume) and a mixer.
The enzymes can be pre-mixed with other components (Tetra-Acetyl
Ethylene Diamine, antifoam, blue specks, etc.) and then dosed
as a premix.
The Post Addition
Plant, besides overcoming the difficulty to produce detergent
with volatile and heat sensitive organic components, can be used
to increase significantly the overall capacity of an already
existing detergent plant if more components (such as sodium carbonate)
are incorporated to the base powder.
